i have presario v2000 notebook computer.sys config:
xp sp2 & vista bussiness
512 mb ddr ram
40gb hard disk space.
i have 4 partition in my hard disk,named c,d,e,f.
c=9.5gb
d=9.5gb
e=9.5gb
f=9.5gb
i have two OS in my system,xp sp2 & vista business.i can installed xp sp2 in 'c' drive,vista in 'd' drive.now both drives r full.'e' partition have lot of free space,more than 8gb.
if possible to make resize my 'e' drive(2gb+3gb+3gb)),then move that free space 3gb to my 'c' drive and another 3gb free space to my 'd' drive?any free partition softwares r available to create empty space,then move that empty space to particular drive?

There is a program out there call "Partition It" which will repartition your drive without losing data, however, I think you have a bigger problem than that.

If you need two operating systems, then I think you will need a larger hard drive. 40gb is kind of small.

Or, you could do what I did and get an external drive.

I'll have to agree with what was said by Walking Man, you are probably better off just upgrading the hard drive. In most cases, it will be a standard Parallel ATA interface, that most any 2.5" drive will fit, but you should check your paperwork that came with your laptop, or check on HP's website to check that and be sure.

If you're still determined to stick with the same HDD though, there's a Linux boot CD called GParted Live, which you can find at the link listed below my answer. You simply burn that ISO to a CD using Nero or any other program that burns disc images, and boot the computer using that CD. It's an open source program, so there's no warranty or guarantee for it. If you want to do something like this, I'd recommend doing a backup first before attempting to rearrange partitions.

you need to use partition magic for not basic disk or format the two one in each and every of your tension... make re- partition of not basic disk... then you definately've gotten the skill to place in vista on besides the fact that tension you prefer to...
