Confidence, posture and poise, when you are practicing, always keep in your mind you are auditioning, even when you practicing in your own mirror.

Watch prior performances (DVD's, actual performances... whatever you can find also ask your teacher where you could obtain footage) by "the royal academy of dance" not just American but New Zealand and Great Britain as well...Then pay attention to the details of the dancer that "moves" you the most and emulate their posture, the way they hold their shoulders, arms and head and most importantly the confidence they show that says "I'm the only dancer on this stage and I am the greatest dancer in the world"...believe in yourself and your determination and attention to detail will put you at the top of your game! Good Luck remember confidence creates the stage presence!

I am a ballet dancer and have been dancing for about 13 years of my life. I think the mistake that people make on stage is looking directly out into the audience. Instead look up toward the balcony. To the audience this makes you look more confident and beautiful. Remember that your posture is of great importance. Keep your shoulders back even when you must run off stage. Don't forget to smile based on the role. If you are a main role and it requires a lot of emotion, give it, but do not overdue it. Relax before you get on stage. I know there is a lot of anxiety and sometimes its hard to stay calm, but just be confident. That's the best advice I can give you.

you relatively could desire to get into greater instructions. there's no way you may pursue a occupation in ballet with basically one type each week. 40 5 minutes is likewise rather short for a ideal type. a classic ballet type (which includes barre, center, and pointe) runs from an hour and a a million/2 to 2 hours. additionally, evaluate your studio to work out in the event that they are going to provide help to realize your purpose. i'm somewhat nervous approximately what education you're receiving considering the indisputable fact that's relatively uncommon for a instructor to place a pupil en pointe whilst they're basically taking one type each week. i could ask your creative Director questions which includes: what number dancers from the studio have long previous directly to bounce with expert agencies? Is there a enterprise linked on your studio? Do different pupils attend summer season Intensives? if so, which of them? Who did your instructors learn with? If the solutions are actually not sufficient, i could recommend looking a clean college. analyze different faculties on your city and discover one that suits your needs yet has greater to grant you. If the solutions are good, then enrolling in greater instructions and tough paintings will a great deal income you. good success consisting of your purpose!

Its simple, energy. Ive been dancing since I was 4 and if theres one thing you need its energy. When dancing if you try to pull you sixth strings all the way, as high as you can, while keeping your head level then you will have a bigger presence already. If you really strengthen your moves, dance as openly as you can you will gain more prescence as well.

it may seem hard to express at first, but all you have to do is practice FEELING the music. let it move you, give yourself up to the beat and your natural insticts for performing will come out. its not always right to smile on stage. its not always right to look serene... so measure the music and remember that just like the dance represents the music, your prescense represents the dance.
relax, have fun, enjoy, perform.
