What are some of the ways that a human resource professional can help LGBTQ individuals gain equality in employment, training and benefits? Some off the ideas that I have include being available to talk, lobbying officials to provide benefits, and sharing education andd awareness programs.

I believe that people who are not in the dominant group (race, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, etc.) do not have the same rights and abilities that those in the dominant group. I received a question about what rights a Bisexual person does not have. Well, as a HR professional, it is important that people who are LGBTQ can be recruited, selected, supported, retained, trained, promoted, etc., without facing discrimination and harassment. I do not believe that all companies have arrived at this ability. I hope this provides more clarity surrounding my question.
