It's a very good film - based on actual events. There IS a Groundhog Day (2nd Feb), where the groundhog comes out to determine whether or not it's going to be a bad winter or not. If he goes back into his burrow, it's going to be bad. Very good joke QPR fan!

A better ending would have the Groundhog biting Bill Murray in the crotch and then marrying Chuckie.

I love that film. The fact that it takes a person to really look at themselves, and to almost be re born to face the fact that he has to find some sort of relationship with other humans. Before he starts to change he is in a sort of stasis of inability to function with others. He in his perception sees their faults first and reacts to those faults before he sees the person. As he finally gives up in depression he has a choice and chooses to be reborn and in that he starts to respond to others needs and brings himself out as well as them. It's such a lovely film about relationship and also very romantic.

It is one of the greatest movies ever made with a message - and it amazes me how many people don't get it. -

Plus it puts the art form of motion pictures to great use in an unusual and innovative way that is particularly suited to movies. - It would be hard to tell this story effectively in a book.

"Groundhog's Day" is a classic. Bill Muray is superb in this film. I could definitely watch this movie every day. This is by far my favorite Bill Murray movie.

Pretty poor by Bill Murray's standards. I think all the funny bits were in the trailer.

Hated it. To wash out the taste I watched the DVD of "Popeye",
twice, figuring one bad film would cancel effects of another.
