I have a Stove with a Glass top. I make a Mixture of baking soda and water together and use a sponge to use on the glass. Put on and let dry well and then clean with Windex.

YOu may nix this idea , In the lowe's cleaning dept they have a plumus stick, it is about six inches and inch square, I use it on my glass top, bottom of my pans inside my pans, it comes right off, it si about four bucks get on and try it on a small area, all you do is wet it and rub lightly the grease will build up and then you rinse with water , Works for me IT does not scratch it

A non-abrasive cleanser like Soft Scrub works the best...and is what the manufacturers recommend for a cooktop surface.

i have a glass top stove, if something boils over and sticks to it, i always keep a razor on hand. you can scrap the mess off with the razor blade. i also find that mr. clean multisurface cleaner works well.
