Wouldn't compulsory Military duty do away with the whole idea that the 'haves' are being protected by the 'have-nots' Most of our brave young men and women who join the voluntary service do it as a way to further their educations and improve their career goals. If the playing field were level and all High School graduates had a mandatory three year tour of duty (with no exemptions) in the US Military then those who vote to send our troops into harms way would use a higher set of standards other then public polling (which was the driving factor in sending troops into Iraq). Now, that public polling shows many Americans no longer support that decision they scurry around like a bunch of cockroaches caught in the rays of a flashlight. We need politicians who have more to lose by their decisions then simply public opinion.

I bitterly resent your implication that we Democratic men are not as manly as Republican men!
Last week, I had to go to an anti-Global Warming rally. We were supposed to march for two hours, and it was just freezing cold. Even my Ralph Lauren jacket and Eddie Bauer boots didn't keep me warm! But we were tough. We stuck it out, but not to any ridiculous extremes like you Cons would. We were smart: we took turns going into a Starbucks Coffee to keep warm.
Going to an anti-Global Warming rally shouldn't mean that I have to freeze to death, or would that make me more of a man in your eyes?
As a Liberal, I think I'm doing my part to help the troops even if I don't actually serve in combat myself. Whenever I buy $1000 worth of skin care products with my Platinum Card, a $10 donation is made to support our troops. Just so I could donate more money to our guys in uniform, I went to Cancun for two weeks, and believe me, you can use up a lot of expensive lotions keeping your skin from aging in the hot Mexican sun!

Actually the recent numbers are now 56% Republican and 8% Democrat. I would also venture to guess that those 8% would preferred to be called democrats and not liberals.

Liberals only fight with constant arguments. They are the type of kids who never had a best buddy to protect them from bullies. All they could do was to spout off with their mouths. They were raised by liberal parents who told them to never sacrifice for anyone ever and to always remember that they are special.
Liberals know no better.

wow.
i just looked at your own source article and you are outright lying.
it seems that by looking at your own numbers that 39% call themselves moderate, 9% liberal and 7% very liberal.
since according to todays insane radical republicans, moderates are considered liberals that would tell me that the numbers are much closer than you say they are.
i simply don't understand this habitual lying that republicans feel the need to do...

Being a former Infantryman, I seriously would not want to have to depend on one of these people in a combat situation.

Tell the troops in Iraq to support Dubya. Clearly they don't. Check the link.
