My spouse and I are getting divorced because I can't stand her BS anymore. I have been dealing with a deadbeat for three years and have had enough. I gave her slack for the first two years because she was pregnant twice. She smells worse than a man, is letting her teeth rot out of her mouth, never cleans the house, and has gained 20 some lbs in the last few months. This weight has been gained over a year after her last pregnancy. I offered to diet and exercise with her but she won't. She just sits on the damn computer all day. She has no job nor has she ever. So I don't think my resquest of having a clean house is at all ridiculous. The only time the house has ever been clean is when I give in and do it for her. Now after I've decided that enough's enough she starts claiming that I've been verbally abusing her and she has started purging because of it. I don't know how stating that she needs to stop living like pig is wrong especially seeing CPS has been involved because of it.

I have to agree with you! Any woman that is lucky enough that she doesn't have to work should have a nice clean home and be clean herself. Plenty of time to cook, bake and do things in the yard. At one time in my life, I was that lucky and I always had the house cleaned and dinner on the stove when my husband got home from work. I even did all the yard work, loved to plant flowers, and bake. She sounds worthless , if CPS has been involved that tells me that she isn't a good mother either. I would file for custody of the kids and start over. Sorry for you, its a shame that people turn out this way, and don't realize what a good thing they have and take care of it. Good luck

You are not wrong. I had a very similar relationship a few years ago with what turned out to be a manipulative, using, and very mentally ill man. He was very much like your wife. There are people out there that are just lazy bums/con artists, professing love but have absolutely no intent of putting anything into the relationship or household. They are leeches and will emotionally exhaust you. And they know what they are doing. That is why she is saying you are abusing her and she is purging. She is mentally not right, and she is trying to put a 'guilt complex' on you and wants to make it all your fault, purging so you will feel guilty you have driven her to this and that maybe you will go back to her. Alot of these people suffer from mental illness, and it will take a toll on you. Ignore all her accusations and her purging self-destructive behavior - it is a part of her mental illness. If you have children with her, be a good dad, but have as little to do with her as you can.

first try and sit down and have a heart to heart tell her how you feel and remind her of all the things she will miss out on if you leave her, maybe you should just go and get a room for a few days without contacting her first to wake her up and maybe she will realize what she has, try this first, people now a days are so quick to want to divorce your vows said for better or worse if this doesn't work then file for custody and divorce

If she wasn't slovenly before you married her, then I would say it is depression, possibly aggravated by two pregnancies so close together. It is not normal for a woman to suddenly become lazy and let her looks go unless she is mentally or physically suffering.
She needs help.
