i've ran my spy sweeper and norton anti virus to no avail..
i have a question in to webroot about my problem and am waiting an answer...any other ideas?

Use these scans to remove it , both are free.

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free.

In addition to these (very good) suggestions, remember to also update the most critical component of your computer: your operating system. Many recent viruses exploit vulerabilities in the OS, and antivirus software is only as good as the foundation it's built on. To paraphrase it another way, picture someone with a sponge mop standing at the bottom of a dam with holes in it. The OS is the dam, and the AV software is the sponge mop.

ALSO: there are some particularly vicious forms of viruses that are coded to attack the antivirus programs themselves. Make sure your AV program has all the latest patches, and is upgraded to the newest version available.

Lastly - if you run two separate antivirus programs on the same box, they may not "play well" with each other, since they are both resource-intensive and each can block the other's access to the Registry.

Hope that helps.

Go to Google and type Tune-up Utilities. This is fantastic programe although its only free for 30 days. BUT you don't have to give credit card data, etc. It is, in fact, FREE for 30 days.

Go to their website and download all they offer. It really is quite fantastic.

Shared a similar problem as yours and was suggested this by a Yahoo Answer user - it really picked up all the crap that Norton (and other useless companies) overlooked.

make sure you have an anti-virus anti-spyware and firewall on.

just run scans and when it is detected, delete it.

incase you dont have virus or spyware protection
