i have some programs that take up alot of memory like a psp movie converter, quicktime, webcam, etc. but when i go to delete them. the uninstall process goes all the way through but the program isn't uninstalled. and some say the files/folders like pspConv9.dll are not there but when i go to My Computer i see every file and folder there. i don't know what im doing wrong. any advice?

you can Microsoft search these programs and manually delete them. It's a little more time consuming but they are gone for sure then. Then reboot, defrag and disk clean-up and you should be good to go.

An un-install program can only delete something that was installed when it was originally installed so it can't delete a folder if any files were created after the install and placed in that folder so if you've uninstalled the program correctly you can safely manually delete the folder in the program files folder
