I would really appreciate feedback from law students everywhere as to how they are finding all years of their LLB Law degree studies. I will be studying in September and would really love to know first hand what to expect.

There is load and loads and loads of work to do.

I'm a second year LLB Law student. Theres loads of reading, so don't expect a social life if you want to be getting 2:1's and 1st's.

Law is not one of those subjects where if your naturally gifted you'll breeze through without having to do any work. Law requires lots of reading and as such requires loads of input.

The most rewarding thing though is when you get decent marks in return. I'm afraid being a successful law student and having no social life comes hand in hand.

Good luck in September!

Hi Zepp,

Well, as a recent LLB graduate (Last July) I can tell you with confidence that you can expect a lot of hard work, plenty of reading and research. You will also need a long holiday after doing the Equity and Trusts unit. I really enjoyed it but it is a nightmare to study (Equitable estopple..... Yuk! I still have nightmares).

To be honest, I would not have missed any of the law degree for anything. It is so helpful in everyday life even if you don't end up in practice. Having a law degree carries many transferable skills and a lot of prestige.

Good luck (mwahahahahaha)(wicked evil grin)

I'm afraid I'm not intelligent enough to take law but my ex brother in law did and he used it during the divorce proceedings - and hardly pays any maintenance for his two children.

I guess it does carry advantages.
