Walter Sparrow (Jim Carrey) stumbles onto a book entitled The Number 23, a story about an individual that becomes obsessed with the number “23” and its recurrence in his everyday life. As Walter reads the novel and sees the character surrendering himself to his own paranoia, he begins to experience similar feelings of euphoria. When he starts researching, Walter realizes that he and his wife met when they were both 23. He notices the recurrence of the number 23 with such 'relevant' things like the number of times Caesar was stabbed. Time and day of birth and numbers on his IDs all come to the number 23. In fact, with time, Walter begins to spot parallels between the book and the real life situations that surround him, much to the displeasure of his wife Agatha (Virginia Madsen), who becomes concerned about his behavior. His mentality continues to escalate, and he starts to believe that the novel is actually based on his own life. When he finds that, in the book, the main character’s obsession leads to his descent into madness, transformation into a serial killer, and finally his grisly demise, he panics. During his search to find the author of the book, he discovers that the book was written by himself, 13 years ago. He had murdered his lover and then a failed suicide attempt left him with no memory of the accident. It takes a near skirmish with death for him to realize that it is all in the past, and from there he tries to put his life back together. All in All its agood movie......

Yes, I liked it. As I was watching it, I anticipated it having one of those endings where nothing made sense like a David Lynch or something but as the movie wrapped up it did come together. Not to say that it didn't have holes in the plot, but I don't care I liked it.
