Best thing i found to do is sit in front of a mirror.
Looking at yourself and in its reflection see what you only know about yourself,
look over your life, look into your own eyes and heart.
See and accept the thoughts that come to you.
Good thoughts as well as bad, cry , laugh. experience being you.

This takes some time.. but it dose reach you .
You can then do self work on yourself.
finding yourself or building a weekness that you feel you might have.
As they say, the eyes are the gateway to your soul, i feel this is true as a gateway to seeing the inner you. or inner child some call it.

But with work on this level you will know yourself.

First you get to a space that says I could not possibly (or it's unlikely) gather all the data that is going on relative to myself. Not many realize what would have to happen to KNOW anything. It would be like feeezing something thinking that it remains absolute and doesn't move in the least. Even if you could gather every spec of information about what you believe to be yourself, it remains subjective and limited to the parameters relative to who determines what all this means. Cool?

i think your only weak because you beleive your weak. If you push yourself to limits that you never knew you could go- then that builds strength. God cant give you anything you cant handle and if you want it you can have it by dedication, hard work, perserverence, hope, staying focused, limiting your distractions and believing in yourself.

--It depends on the values you have! Weak or immoral values, will produce little of good evaluation! Strong or moral values will result in an honest appraisal!

--If you want a total evaluation, you would have to allow something that will reveal yourself in total honesty.
--There is no other "plumb line" better equipped than the Bible. Please note:

(Hebrews 4:12-13) “12 For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints and [their] marrow, and [is] able to discern thoughts and intentions of [the] heart. 13 And there is not a creation that is not manifest to his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom we have an accounting.”

--Did you notice the depth of revealing, especially in morality of the highest nature?

--When the expression soul & spirit, the meaning is that one as a living soul, person in ones entirety, can be distinguised by ones spirit or attitude on any matter and note the depth of revealing things so deep as to be found in our marrow.

Note please the interesting process that the Jewish lawyer Paul as far as getting to know oneself:

(1 Corinthians 4:2-5) “. . .. 3 Now to me it is a very trivial matter that I should be examined by YOU or by a human tribunal. Even I do not examine myself. 4 For I am not conscious of anything against myself. Yet by this I am not proved righteous, but he that EXAMINES (my caps) me is Jehovah. 5 Hence do not judge anything before the due time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring the secret things of darkness to light and make the counsels of the hearts manifest, and then each one will have his praise come to him from God.”

--Notice the magnitude of what one could determine, whether one be a "man of God" or not:

(2 Timothy 3:16-17) “16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for REPROVING,(my caps), for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.”

--So then if you truly want a total revealing, then you would have to avail yourselves of the most open and straightforward of methods as described above.

We can know ourselves by first understanding our role in society and the broader culture. The new book "Another Thought" by OC Tross answers this question very well.

Push yourself until you realize you are out of your depth. Then you will know your limits and it just a question of consolidation behind them after that.

Take your reasoning outside the 'I' and review yourself from a third-person's view.
