Every entity in the universe is isolated in time from every other entity.
If you look at a person in the room with you,you are seeing that person as they existed in the past.
The time difference is only billionths of a second so you don't see the delay.
To notice a difference you would have to be separated by about 18,000 miles
Your fastest reaction time is about one tenth of a second.
Some fundamental particles are billionths of a second.
Celestial bodies millions of years.
The universe works and we can operate as if no isolation was present.
The zero time would be two dimensional which would prevent any inter-action between entities.
The universe supplies a holographic overlay that allows us to exist as if no isolation was present.

Its a theory that basically states that all information contained in a volume of space, can be descibed by a theory that applies only in that volume. Thats why its called holographic...it's information in a 3 dimensional space, which is exactly what a hologram is. In laymans terms think of it like this. If you have a room, you can model all the events inside that room with a theory that only worries about what happens in that room. Basically if there are other laws of physics outside of that room, we dont need to worry about them since they dont affect anything in the room. The holographic principle is Ed Witten and Leonard Susskinds solution to Stephen Hawkings Information Paradox, which says that all the information (matter) that falls into a Black Hole simply disappears when the Black Hole evaporates (which i assure you that mathematically, they do eventually evaporate). This was a big problem since modern physics and all other sciences in general operate on the fact that information can never be destroyed. Basically if Hawking was right, effect could precede cause, and even our own memories would be suspect. This obviously didnt sit well in the Physics community, and the Holographic Principle is one answer. And it is more of a theory about quantum gravity as well, rather than a universal theory...
