I have been to Sherwood Forest and Whinfell and Sherwood is definitely the best. I would advise you to book as much as you can before you go as everything will get booked up quick and when you arrive there will queues for people booking activities. The initial cost includes the accommodation and the world of water. If your children can ride bikes I would hire some as the forest environment is fantastic for it and it is bigger than you think - all the areas have bike parks for you to put them. Just put a marker on them so you don't lose them in amongst all the others! There is loads to do for children from face painting classes to cinema and bowling, sports classes like archery to abseiling and there is some wildlife such as badgers and quirrels that children love.
If you need any more information let me know.

I visited Sherwood woodland many circumstances interior the 60's, or perhaps met the Queen there. This became lengthy earlier center Parks became even idea-about. so a recommendations as i comprehend, Robin Hood is organic fiction. So he did not construct Sherwood woodland, nor did he have any enter into center Parks!

Yes plenty to do at a cost, been before and going again next week so it wasn't so bad. Accommodation is adequate, food in restaurants is good and staff are friendly.
