Check on ebay or craigs list and see if there are similar books going to prices you'd be willing to sell at. then auction on one of the two sites. They are both very easy to use and I have made some great money selling the stuff I don't use anymore.

Call around and look for someone who prices antique books. If they think you can get a decent price for it, sell them.
You can try sites like Ebay. You'd be surprised what people are looking for. ...and if TWO people want it, there's the possibility of a bidding war....which works well for you. I'd go this route. People worldwide look at Ebay everyday. If you use a local auction house, you have maybe a few dozen bidders and a smaller chance of getting a good price. Plus the percentage Ebay takes out isn't as much

You'll need to put them in a specialist auction to get the best price for them but be warned, old books, unless there is something special about them, are not particularly valuable. The vast majority of them are sold to interior designers to dismantle and use in room designs. I suggest you research the particular volumes you have and see if they, or anything similar are currently available, and what price you would be likely to pay for them.
