You're the manager, Fire and Hire. The best way to improve leadership skills is find better followers.

You may be able to keep doing exactly what you doing, but you need to start believing very strongly in it. People like to follow those that have a strong belief in what they are doing. With confidence and believing in yourself, even misstakes can be interpreted into 'your design' or 'nothing to get too worried about'--afterall people aren't going to want the company to lose momentum. (If there isn't good momentum, then things will get worse). Just keep showing that your working very hard and doing the right things--and that they need to catch on and follow along better. All this needs to be done with respect for your subordinates, but if things aren't working out...then refer back to my first paragraph.

very few people are born with leadership qualities - it seems you aren't.

having said that, there's still a way to manage the Jungle called workforce. You need to be Gentle (so that they feel motivated to work) and Firm (so they don't walk over you). It's always best to keep a safe distance from your workers coz otherwise, they would bother you with trivial requests. You can never afford to be partial or biased towards any employee coz it would breed resentment among others - so watch it before you heap praise on a person. Do not intervene in anybody's personal problems coz a)it's none of your business and b)it can spell trouble for team efforts.

Because you are already sensitive to this tension between friendship and hostility, you are ready to make changes.

Reflect on your relationships inside and outside of work. Identify the differences in behaviors when you were leading, managing and "friending." Recall what you felt like in each case. (You can also consider the behaviors of people who are leading, managing and "friending" you.)

Remember these distinctions at work. Choose a behavior according to what you want to achieve with the other person and then use your feelings to guide you.

you're able to get her in touch in some thing she enjoys, then have her handle a small area of the management or making plans of a few thing that is going on. inspire her with the aid of small accomplishments. Say to her which you quite like the way she did some thing or which you would be able to discover how others are interacting together with her in this variety of advantageous way. Then bodily be there to help her as she takes on new ventures.
