We have the PS3 and have been testing it for a while. Simply take a jump drive or if you have an external harddrive hook it up to the USB port on the front and then you--

Goto to view under music or video or photos scroll down to the drive you've hooked up hover over it then push Triangle then display all (view all) and it will show everything on the jump drive or external harddrive. Then either listen to the music or copy to the ps3 harddrive.

If you have a psp you can also use that to move files from pc to ps3.
Hope this helps.

P.S. we hooked a 160gig external harddrive up through the usb and were able to access, play music, videos, and copy to the ps3 with no issues. We even used a jumpdrive.

You can transfer files using a USB drive or, with the 60GB PS3 on memory stick, CF or SD cards if you have a card reader/writer for your PC.
