It's not a good idea to drink too much at all. But if you are going to drink, fortify yourself with B vitamins beforehand. Hangovers result in the depletion of Bvitamins by alcohol. For the hangover itself, take B vitamins as well. It's not a good idea to take aspirin, acetaminophen or ibuprofen until the alcohol is completely out of your system. For an upset stomach, ginger ale usually works.

I do KNOW of a cure

1. Not drinking too much.

2. Failing that, take ibuprofen before you go to bed. Drink as much water as you can. The big pain in hangovers is dehydration.

3. When you get up, drink more water, or how ever you chose to hydrate. Also, gentle carbs, whatever you can tolerate are helpful. Things like chips that aren't too greasy, etc.

The first thing not to do in case of a hangover is to go through the whiny sympathy seeking stage post waking up.
Everyone hates the guy who complains about things that he did to himself and absolutely noone wants to hear the words "I'll never drink again"
The very fact that you have drunk enough to still be ill in the morning, negates the possibility that you will never drink again.

As for the regrettable syptoms you may suffer, i can only advise the strongest medication, perscription or otherwise, that you have access to.
If you are already a habitual heroin addict for example, then i would imagine a quick fix would help.
If you are as dull as the rest of us however, water, paracetamol and fruit should help someway. Avoid coffe; contrary to popular belief, coffee dehydrates you and will make your hangover worse.
If you can, have a glass of water between real drinks. it racks up a few hours in bathroom travel at night but saves a few in the morning.

Good Luck

The best prescription is not to drink and there would be no hangover. At least, keep it in moderation.

keep your alcohol levels topped up, providing your off work for the weekend and not driving anywhere. and then sleep: drink as much water as you need to not feel thirsty and drink a few cups of strong coffee. apart from the obvious dont get drunk in the first place to avoid a hangover, this works for me.

Coke (the drink!) is good, because it's a good thirst-quencher and has lots of sugar. Water, obviously, bananas for the potassium and nothing too acidic like fruit juice. Crisps for the salt and the fat, eggs are easy on the stomach and most importantly - lots of rest in front of the TV or computer!

I'm sorry for this sounding kinda a boring answer, but straight up KFC everytime. Scoff as much of that chicken and lay down for an hour. It's the only thing that gets me going again.
Oh, but not the KFCs actually in Kentucky, I checked, they suck.
