A power generating station is placed at the coastal waters, allowing the tides or waves enter and exit using sluices (doors). the wave or tide gets into one sluice, rotates the turbine blades and then exits using other sluice. (Sometimes this is allowed to circulate till the tide is not strong enough). Then the turbine runs and electricity is produced like in other energy stations.
