They say that a man has this certain pride if he's woking or earns for his family. Thus, it is truly one of man's greatest disappointment if he finds himself jobless. What you can do is to be supportive of him. Don't blame him for getting laid off. Show him that he can still find another job and be optimistic. Never let him feel you that you're feeding him. I think it takes two to tango and if the partner gets injured, the other partner should be supportive...
Hope this helps

Just be there for the guy. Two months is still pretty recent memory, so he deserves a buffer period. Is he actively trying to get work? If you feel he's taking it hard and is avoiding trying to get back on the horse, he could definitely use a sure, but gentle nudge in that direction as well. Getting back in the game would make him feel a lot better, especially if promising ideas for jobs come up.

Hello chantilly!
A little saying "when one door closes another one opens, which quite often is far better than the first.
Any knowledge gathered along the way may not seem like much at the time but at some time you will have the opportunity to apply it.
But nothing will just drop in a persons lap they must get motivated.
A failure is not someone who fails it is someone who does nothing about his failure.

Take care!

sweetheart, just be there for him. listen when he speaks and do not interrupt. hug him. look lovingly into his eyes and hold his hand. ask him what you can do to make things better. and if it is within your means, then do so; if not, just imagine the possibilites... then come back to earth at one point or another, be assertive and assess what you two need to do for him to get another job. it is in these times that you must perservere in the face of adversity i wish you the best.
