Of course, that would depend on what country you currently reside in. I can't speak for every country on the face of this planet, but assuming you live in a country where the spoken language is English, I'm pretty sure it's not illegal.

As others have written, it's completely your own decision and responsibility. You probably wouldn't want to show South Park to a kid that young for several reasons, two of which being that the jokes are pretty adult and the jokes would also probably go over your child's head to begin with. Most of the jokes are based in current pop-culture, society, and politics, so it probably wouldn't be that entertaining to your kid anyway.

I think maybe, since you asked this question, you were confused about the ratings system for TV shows (at least in America). Of course, these ratings are only a guideline, put there to help YOU decide, even if you are not familiar with the subject matter. They're not laws.

Why would you want your 11 year old daughter to watch it? Why as a mother do you think its appropriate viewing for a child? Tho only offense you are committing is bad judgment as a mother, shame on you.

Not a legal one but I find the programme offensive and would not let my 12 year old daughter watch it, she wouldn't want to anyway. She should not be watching such vile mouthed cartoons. You wont like my answer but you did ask.

No your not commiting an offence. It is an offence for a retailer to rent or sell a film to underaged person. So it's fine.

South Park is Restricted for 16 years old here. Don't do it, it doesnt add any good value to an 11 year old.

It's not illegal, but it's not a very good parenting decision either.

I love SP too, but my kids aren't watching it til they're 13 or so.

I believe that it's a question of morals and discipline of parental up bringing..The Bible did say -Bring up a child the way he should go and when he is grown he (she) will not depart from it.Remember, you are still the mother and you have that right to refrain her from watching whatever...Tis hard to be a mother and ---a friend. Choose one.

It is not illegal but hopefully parents are aware of what their children are watching and monitor the types of programmes that are available to them
