The Matrix - groundbreaking stuff, amazing direction and special effects that will be copied for all eternity. And a story that is so amazing you can't stop thinking about it! One of my fave films of all time.

Serenity, Its space pirate cowboys.
It looks so really, not your silver suit, eat pill for lunch, flying car crap. Its like it could really be the future, the way the culture is, the way there is a lot of Chines and USA stuff, they have dinner on a big hardwood table, not some shinny 2mm thin steel thing. The speak cool, they dress cool, they are cool. Its seems that they tried to make it more culture based then tech based,
the ship is so cool
It's just the little thing that make it the best, Firefly also so rock

TRON
what they accomplished with that movie should have been called the greatest movie ever made.
Everything was shot on a black back ground, with all the lights, sets, colors, everything, made by computers.
and this was at a time where you only saw code on the pc screen, you didnt see what you were making till it was on film.
If it wasnt for TRON there is a lot that may have never been made.

Time Machine with Rod Taylor or Journey to the Center of the Earth with Pat Boone. the special affects were good and the scenery was beautiful.

The Matrix, 1 2 3.
Has brought a new meaning of life through Sci-fi. and makes a fight scene that would just look stupid in any other film, actually look amazing!

My personal favourite has always been '2001: A Space Odyssey'. The breadth and scope of this film is monumental - for it's time it was a masterpiece, and it set the standard for everything that followed.

The Incredible Shrinking Man
still the most thought provoking Sci-fi, and the best use of scaled photography

Stargate without a doubt.
Great plot - good casting and special effects - and a record breaking series to follow.
Get the extended version.
