For the sake of endless, pointless argument, let's say that hell and the devil exists. I've always thought that people were quite arrogant to think that the devil would custom build a hell tailored to each and every person. What's your take on it? Do you envision hell as a universal eternity, or something that takes its cues from the worst experiences in your life?

I think it is tailored to you, because something that might be hell to one person isn't necessarily a hell to someone else. Like let's say my hell is filled with spiders, blood, screaming, fire, etc. and obviously someone who likes spiders, doesn't mind blood, can block out screaming, and is a nympho would be right at home in my hell. i think it would have to be tailored- and it would probably make you relive all of your very worst memories and experiences over and over, which also says it's tailored. plus, if it was universal which also could make sense- (ever seen the movie constantine?) where it's just a bunch of souls and demons and fire, etc. i don't know. i think the tailored hell would be worse though. good question... really got me thinking!!

I think that if we are arrogant enough to believe that our mostly unimportant bad actions are worth an eternity of torments, why can't there be custom made hells. I mean if God and the devil take it sooo seriously...

In turn, is heaven custom built for each and every person? I think too much of what I like would soon turn into my own personal hell. Good question.......
