The Golden Gophers. Don't count out those St. Cloud State Huskies though. They have a 2nd year coach that has them poised to not only go back to the NCAAs for the first time in several years, but has a team that probably has a shot at one of the top 4 seeds. They swept the gophers last weekend, and though they won't win their conference, they have to be considered a contender for the Final Four this year. Notre Dame is having a good year, but their conference is down a little from years past due to MSU and Mich having less than stellar seasons. I don't know if they have the talent to win it all. Sorry Irish fans. Minnesota beat both Michigan and MSU this year also.

This is a tough question--there are no clear-cut favorites as far as I can see, and it is definitely wide open this year. Minnesota clearly has the talent to do it, but for some reason I don't think they're going to make it. Vermont will make a push, as will Michigan if (G)Sauer continues to play well. Notre Dame has a great coach and good goaltender, but I'd say no on them. A darkhorse team? Miami, best goalies in the nation and good team play. Offense is a question for them, though.
