As an Enlishman,it has always amazed me that the American army is thought of as the worst. As they have much more money to spend on weapons,it amazes me that they give their soldiers guns with bent barrells, missiles with faultly targeting and helicopters that have poor visability. At least if they had proper equipment they could fire at the enemy.

I have many friends in the military, and when they set coordinates from one of there ships, they come within 6 feet of the target with their missles. Some of them are army rangers as well....they don't miss when sniping the enemy. Where are you getting your info exactly? Their barrells are straighter than an Englishman's teeth.

"bent barrels"? I'd say step away from the crack pipe. I wouldn't say that all American soldiers are "the best" but we do have a good army with some of the best, if not THE best equipment in the world. If the stuff was no good, why do countries all over the world line up to buy the stuff? I don't know where you got the idea our military is the worst. As far as missiles with faulty targeting, I don't know where you got that information. Very seldom do our guys miss what they're aiming for. Have you ever been in the military, British or any other?

The USA having the best Army in the World???? I think not .
They certainly have the Best equipped army, Pity they are so inept in using it though. They`d have to go a long way to achieve the Standards of the British troops who are able to improvise what they haven`t got.
I`ve never yet heard an American soldier refuse to fight alongside a British soldier but, with all the Own Goals (Blue on Blue Incidents) the Americans have scored not many Brits would fight alongside an American, behind them yes.
I served with American troops when I was In SHAPE and got along with them better than I did the other Nations Troops and they were always amazed how hard we trained no matter what branch of the Army we served in.

I believe you to an quantity. I do think of fairly we are terrorists, i do no longer think of we've the excellent suited to invade different worldwide places below the disguise that we try to keep ourselves. i've got heard idiotic issues like if we did no longer invade Iraq that Sadaam Hussein might own our u . s . a . (did no longer they say this approximately Kruschev?). enable us to no longer forget approximately that Sadaam did no longer have something to do with 9/11 (a minimum of no longer something that anybody has been able to coach) and we've yet to discover WMD. definitely, the two with the aid of defective intelligence or elementary lies, the yankee public became duped into believing that we've been entitled to guard ourselves. yet in all fact, we've basically exacerbated the situation. I do even nonetheless, have faith that terrorism is a few thing practiced with the aid of the two factors. I lost 3 friends on that fateful morning of Sept. 11, 2001. Do i think that their deaths have been justified? rather no longer. Do i think that the toddlers dying customary in Iraq killed with the aid of the two coalition and insurrection forces is justified? No. So who's ideal? are not the two factors terrorists? a minimum of people at the instant are not ignorant adequate to bomb a holy shrine to get our evaluate the process. To me, it rather is real terrorism.

Objectively speaking, the US military machine is made to look like an awesome lethal machine ( Hollywood virtual reality style) yet by historic standard it's ranked shamefully at a low scale, as some have pointed past failures proving inefficiency and sloppy strategy.
The trgadey of Vietnam, Beirut, Mogadishu, Iran ect... only a few to prove contrary of the self proclaimed "might".

Why do you have to write complete rubbish like this?
The USA does have an excellent Army with well trained troops. I think you can say which are the top Armies in the world, but I don't think you can say which is the best man for man.it depends on a variety of things.

they are the biggest of the most advanced militaries in the world, not the best. Their recruitment centres around one notion- are you old enough? They will accept any tom, dick and harry to pump up their numbers,as a result of this thye are usually the ones who get the bad press because many of their soldiers lack any form of intelligence and so go about as if they were part of a gestapo.

Only the units like the marines, green berets and delta force are the best at what they do in te US military. All the rest fade in comparison to these highly trained units.

The best army for its size is the UK, with highly trained individuals that go through strict vetting process.

Don't know if it is the best in the world. If it was, how come post-war history is littered with high profile American military disasters? Vietnam, Iran in 1980, Somalia in 1993, Afghanistan from 2001 onwards, Iraq from 2003 onwards. (One notable exception, the Gulf War of 1991 - only a lack of a mandate prevented them from finishing the job they started).

Their technology may be state-of-the-art and their size is not in doubt, but the research and planning leaves a lot to be desired.

No-one seems to have got your point. I think you're talking about 'friendly fire'. the Americans like to share the love. Shoot a few rag-heads, blow up a few muslims, torture a few camel jockeys and just for fun have a go at a few Brits just to show who's boss. Then say it was an accident! Brilliant! My kids do that sort of thing (not shooting etc etc)

Their equipment failures are pretty much the standard for any military worldwide. It's their training that lets them down in new environments and little experience of the importance of more mature militarys that, although smaller, have a lot of lessons to teach. In common with the British military, arrogance makes for a pissing contest. They are determined though and, government interference aside, are learning to work well with us. They are coping quite well with the new demands placed on them and are a good people. The few that engage allied targets and make dumb mistakes are typical, again, of most large militaries. Little comfort for us sadly.
