It is possible that the education you have completed up to this point of time is no longer applicable or transferable because it has taken too long--12 years since you last took classes? What I mean is that you may have waited too long to complete your education using the units you have already obtained. In the USA many Universities do not accept units that have not been earned within 5-7 years of completing your BA/BS degree. Here I mean the 124-152 units required for the BA/BS. (The same is true for the 2-year AA degree in the USA., approximately 60 units.)(If you already have an earned BA/BS degree, there usually is no time limit in applying for MA/MS programs though.)

You should go to your local college or university and see if they will accept your units. Have all your UNOPENED TRANSCRIPTS with you. They will double check you too. You need to start this process as soon as possible. Be prepared that you will may have to take additional courses, even for a 2 year degree.

I hope you do not loose your entire education. Some private colleges seem to have looser standards in this situation. It may benefit you to pay more in order to get the degree.

I do not trust Internet degrees either. Lot's of scams going on there. Go to a school that actually has buildings!! And people you can see and speak with.

Good luck to you.

Depends on the job man. But think of this: become a Marine, get some college credits during your time in, and finish up afterwards using your G.I. Bill. My father owns a company. He said to me that people in a high-level business environment feel uneasy hiring people straight out of college. Why? No experience! So if you go in there with an education and the work skills of a Marine, you'd be hired over any other college student.
