~It's important, especially as parents to admit that sometimes we too are wrong and apologize. No one is perfect. I can admit when I'm wrong and still say "but..." We need to learn to admit it and shrug it off, we are only human.~

This is a great challenge, but when it is met head on, a major step in character development will be taken.

Human nature is to be self-centered. We are taught to see the world through the eyes of others. Some of us accept this humble attitude, and so we never have a problem with pride blocking our ability to admit our errors or mistaken ideas.

Others of us cling to pride like a baby clings to its mother. To let go of pride would mean the loss of self, and that is simply too high a price to pay.

The answer lies in understanding "point of view" and how no one is capable of the ultimate point of view...that of "Quality".

The early Greek Philosophers (Sophists) understood this thing called Quality, and they saw the source of this as being the Cosmic Mind.

John the Theologian was aware of this mindset, and made use of it in explaining Christ (The Word=The LOGOS or The Thought of The Cosmic Mind).

A more contemporary author (well, 20th century) is Robert Pirsig, who went into great detail to prove the theory of Quality in his famous book, "Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintainence".

Only through letting go of the idea that we are the ultimate source of any knowledge do we open ourselves up to the possibility that there is more for us to learn than we had previously imagined.

That is what Einstein was talking about in his famous quote:

"Imagination is more important than Knowledge".

He knew that there was no such thing as perfect knowledge. As Pirsig would say, "The more you come to know, the more you realize how much you don't know".

That is an ever expanding truth, that boggles our minds.

Yet letting go of pride and replacing it with humility in the face of a limitless Cosmic Mind will allow us to always consider that we don't know everything we think we know...

Peace

There is a trick to this. always ask your self am I doing my best, If the answer is answered honestly and with out reservation then you were not wrong. You acted on the information supplied and do your best. Wrong is someone elses problem not yours. wrong is an idea that other people force on you to bully you into thinking their way. It is always hard to accept that you mad a mistake and to forgive your self.

I always think if other person is behaving with me like this how would I feel. If my answer is `yes it is good' then I do that. But if my answer is `I don't like it' then I don't behave that way.

To err is a human. If I come to know that I have done some wrong, I say, sorry, it will not happen next time or I didn't do it willingly.

First u have to train yourself to the fact that " my opinion is right, possibly wrong, other opinions are wrong, possibly right". Then come to the next step, u have to put yourself on the other seat, looking to the issue with the other eyes, then u may discover yourself u are truly right or wrong.

Indeed, we sometimes are right or wrong, it depends since no one is right or wrong all the time. For me, I always assure my students we learn from our mistakes, be not afraid to answer questions from me or to think differrently from what has been studied. Doing such mistakes (doing something wrong) is one of the key processes of our learning, thinking and doing things. Good students should learn from their mistakes and improve themselves or else they could not excel.

It is in acknowledging that we also commit mistakes that we can accept that sometimes we are also wrong.
