i see alot of shows on ftv most of the high fashion designers dont use girls from other races.. expect one or 2 iv seen alot of white girls indian girls asian girls mixed girls but not so much of black girls or latino girls on runways maybe one in every 100 models or so do u think they are being racist?

First of all, you can't make a general assumption about all fashion designers by just watching some tv shows with fashion shows--could be the show is racist and is just editing out the black and latino models.
Also though, it's not always the case that you can tell somebody's race just by looking at them. What you thought was an indian girl could have very well been a black girl with mixed ancestory.
Bottom line is that there might be traces of racism in fashion, but unless you've seen the majority of the designers shows live, without cuts, its kind of difficult to tell.

yes totaly...i mean every season has trends and now their is lots of asian models cause their never used to be but usually its just super skinny white girls that all look the same. Their is hardly any famous black names in fashion...and you rarely see them...their is like iman, tyra, alek wek, ajuma, naomi, oluchi and chanel iman but thats it! In all the shows pretty much. Also i dont think i have ever seen a full on latin girl on the runway come to think of it.
I dont think people see really dark black women as beautiful and it sucks...because really dark skinned women never get any commercial work like loreal. I'm not sure if its racism on the designers part or if they are just doing whats best for their buisness. It sucks really! Becuase their is some great black girls that dont get recognized.

I COMPLETLY AGREE WITH U but not with the racism lets start with white girls they are the most girls in demand and always will be and its always been that way blonde blue eyes tall skinny thats wat high fashion wants there label to represent
indian girls? they are pretty much everywhere but most of us mistake them for being latino becuase coz most beautiful indian girls can pass off looking white to latino there fashion industry do not take any dark skinend girl yes i believe there industry is being racist not europe
asian girls are more in demand than ever they are everywhere now asian girls have innocent face most designes like miumiu marc jacobs john galliano use them its always been that way and always will
Mixed girls are more exotic looking ofcrose for example adriana lima
heres come the part why they dont use so many black girls and latino girls on runway
Black girls THERE ARE black girls un runway but not so many a black girls usally cant be size double 00 like white girls indian girls asian girls or even latino its pretty rare designers want CLOTH hangers
latino girls there are on runways but yet its rare to see them but i can deff tell u most latino models can pass off looking white

no, i think there are fewer asian and latino models with the right proportions for catwalk modeling than white girs. the fashion industry uses asian and latino models alot in nearly every other area, but catwalk modeling requires models to be very tall, which latinos and asians rarely are. i disagree about black cat walk models, i think there are alot of them.

At what point do we get over the race card being played? I ask because i'm getting really tired of it.. even you yourself admit there ARE the races yer bitching about represented even in the model world... 1 out of a 100.. sheesh... thats pretty good seeing as no chick 1 out of 100 is ever gonna make it as a model in any event anyway any how... Actually by your stats.. they are over represented race wise...

no....just as anything else in life....it depends on the pool of possible applicants....you can only choose the girls that are best for the job. There is no point in hiring a black girl just because you need a token, when there is someone who is better for the job right next to her.
