Wind is caused when air gets heated up due to the sun.As you know hot air is lighter and rises up.Thus a vaccum is created in its place.Now cold wind comes and occupies this place and this gives rises to wind.This is a basic principle in nature.Also the land breeze and sea breeze are caused due to this process.

Well you know that liquids flow from higher level to a lower level. Similarly wind is the movement of air from a region of high pressure to a region of low pressure. If the pressure is uniform then there is no wind.

The place which is hotter the air pressure will get reduce that is why the air frm reltively cold place will travel towards the hotter one and causes the wind, Also the temp. diff b/w the surface of sea and land causes it.

wind's base cause is differential solar heating of land and water. Differnt color land and vegitation absorbs or reflects differnt amounts of light. More light absorbed means the land gets hotter.
(water reflects more light than land and is harder to heat)
The air above the surface absorbs heat from the surface. Hotter air rises. Cold air moves to fill the void.
We now have air movement, which is wind.

All the aforementioned factors combine to cause wind.
