I too had an emergency c-cection and I did not stop bleediong for 5 weeks!! I swear to god we get punished for the 9 and half months we did not have it!!LOL!!

I had 2 c-sections, 1 by emergency and the other was sheduled. Both lasted 6 weeks.

It varies. For me, I had a c-section and ended up with bleeding afterwards like a heavy period for maybe 4-5 days. No big deal that I couldn't control with regular pads.
The first night, though, the nurse recommended a Depends undergarment, because the bleeding was quite heavy.

i had an emergency c section with my daughter and the bleeding lasted for five weeks, i had a weeks break and then my period started thought i was never going to stop bleeding drove me crazy

I didn't have a c section, but with my natural delivery the bleeding lasted for 6 weeks. It does become lighter though!

i had a c-section and it lasted about a month. with my two previous vaginal births it lasted 6 weeks to 2 months. with the two vaginal births the bleeding was a whole lot heavier than with my daughters c section birth.

i think it is normal, in vaginal birth women is bleeding for 40 days, in c section it will be shorter 2-3 weeks

6 to 8 weeks in total.
But the heavy bleeding shouldn't last more than a couple of weeks, unless you are overdoing it physically.
