Drops for gas are good. They can be used everyday. Apart from that try giving hot fomentation to her stomach, it helps a lot. Colic pain could be a reason to cry. Try a medicine for that and see the change, gas problem will also go away. Even if the stomach is distented, this will help. Massage her stomach downward and rub her back while keeping her on your shoulder. Colic pain occurs to babies and it can be very bad.
Apart from this feed her as and when she asks for feed. Hunger cramps can also be very painful. They go away once the stomach is full. Check all creases of body also to see if she is not hurt anywhere. Hope this helps. Take care.

It's called colic and yes, it is painful. I've always found that walking with the baby upright, against my shoulder helps. Patting and rubbing the baby's back seems to move in up, too. You can speak to your chemist and ask for advice.
This is a really hard time for new babies. It does stop though, when they're about three months old. Just remember - she is in pain and needs help.

You should consult you pediatrician. Do you detect any gas (Smell or hear it) If she is crying very much it may be hard to tell but check to see if her abdomen seems hard or soft. If it is very hard it could be that she is contracting to cry or it could be a sign that she is full of gas or #2. Depending on where you live most drug stores or grocery stores will have infant gas drops for you to try. When I massage my baby's tummy it seems to help it move along more quickly. If you are concerned you should call your doctor.

Try rubbing her tummy around her belly button with your pointer & middle finger in a clockwise direction use a little bit of sweet almond oil available from chemists and health food shops. If you are breastfeeding do this as often as possible to settle her fussiness. Good Luck.
