to work out fractions into decimals you divide the top number by the bottom number. ie 7 is divided by 10 giving an answer of 0.7.

Tenths are very easy, just think about them as being money. Each whole number is £1 and each tenth is 10p and each hundredth is 1p
therefore 7/10 is 70p written as 0.7 0r £0.70
