How much does it cost to have an average personal web page done by someone these day?

You should be able to get it for free. If someone charge you even $50 for a simple html webpage, then stay away from this person. I forgot but you can do a webpage from shareware program where you can do WYSIWYG, from geocities, and from websites that give FREE education on how to do simple webpage.
