It doesn't matter what the group is.It could be a religious group such as Christians or Muslims. It could be Atheists or Agnostics. It could black, white, Asian, or Arab.It could be Straight, gay, bisexual, or asexual. It could be anyone of any group.

Have we as a society not yet learned that while many people may follow one behaviour or another that stereotypically fits into one group or another that does not automatically mean that "all" members of that group do that same thing?

Examples of what I mean:

All Christians are rednecks
All gays girly
All Muslims are terrorists
All Atheists call out to God before they die
All Asians have small.. Well, you get the idea of what I mean. I hope.

There is a difference between stereotyping and prejudice.

Stereotyping is to use a category to explain or cope with. I.e. White Van Man, must keep away from them when driving because they are bad drivers and very inconsiderate. = Arrr but I've just met one and she is a great driver and very cautious.

Prejudice is to then say - "But of course she was only putting on an act to fool me."
