You will probably end up going to court. If she wants to keep it and it is in both of your names then she will have to buy out your half.

Well, if you have proof that the mortgage has been coming out of your pocket, maybe you should just take her to court (or threaten to do so and see if that works) but like everyone else here has already said - it will probably still go half and half. Good luck.

well its half each if you both put your name on, she will have to pay u off or get solicitor and she will have to sell if shes hasnt the money, thats assuming u buyin the house and under a morgage

If the house in in joint names then your girl friend owns half the property regardless of who paid the mortgage. You cannot sell the property without your girl friends approval and signature.

You can get advice from the Citizen advice Bureau. They will be able to help you on that one. As you have been living together for so long she is now known as your common law wife - sorry to say. I do feel for you on this one. Good luck

Other than to say " your screwed ", there not much you can do other than taking her to court to make her pay her share and or the force the sale of the house.

WELL IF YOU SAY THIS IS YOUR HOUSE AND THE HOUSE IS IN YOUR NAME THEN YOU SHOULD STILL GO ON AND FIND A REALTOR TO HELP YOU SELL THE HOUSE AND ONCE THE HOUSE IS BEING SOLD , YOU DO THE MOVING OF ALL YOUR STUFF AND LET HER MAKE A FOOL OUT OF HERSELF BY STAYING THERE WHILE OTHER COME TO LIVE IN IT.GOOD LUCK
