In my experience ,NO. I was married 25yrs and have been divorced for 10 yrs. When married we went though so many ups and downs that life throws at us, plus having children, there is a bond and I call it love that will never go away.We don't see each other but we talk once in a while. There isn't the love that ,well, may have been there, but now there is a mutual feeling of respect ;feeling for them when things are tough for them. Yeah I think it can be called a certain level of love.

No, If you loved them at one time, I think you don't stop loving them completely, they always have a small place in your heart. I will always have a soft spot for my first real love and we broke up 10 years ago. You can move on though and love someone new with all your heart.

no i don't believe we ever stop loving someone, a little part of ourselves always loves but we have to be able to see that maybe that person was toxic to us, and it would not be in our best interest to ever go back in a relationship with them. i believe we love what we imagined that relationship to be, or wanted it to be. as there is always a little bit of good in us all, we are never truly all bad.

I think so but I also think that person the you do not love the way you did in the past can have a place in your heart or mind

i don't think so i still love my ex but there comes a time when you have to let go - you may always love that person but letting go is the best thing you can do for the both of you!

yess,if he or she did something very wrong and this affected my life. You can stop loving someone,if you can forget what he did to you.Love is about trust, faithfull and openminded.So never allow someone to cntro your life.
