Paris Hilton is more like America downfall. Seriously, we need to stop giving her press and publicity for not doing anything production and remotely interesting.

As an American I do not understand why she is even famous, she is not attractive, she has no talents, just a lot of her grand daddy's money. As far as her being a symbol of American culture....no freakin' way. Very few Americans have the luxuries and contacts that she does. What you see in the magazines and on TV are far from the way that "real" americans live. Sure we have a lot, but most of us have to work hard for what we have. We are not a culture of spoiled rich kids. There are far more middle class people. If you would like to see better examples of American culture, explore the Country/Western music scene. Listen to the words in the songs. That is what american culture is all about!

Strange question really. I mean she's just Paris Hilton, I find it worrying that she could be mentioned in the same sentance as trying to sum up a whole culture!

I think and feel she is totally gross and a real letdown to American women everywhere. For her best is being a total airhead. This is from a Scottish man.

well if she used her brain she wouldent say "thats hot" every 5 mins or less she could try and broaden herself and have debates or at least some interests other than fashion and boys and yes this country sees her as the american barbie
