Tough question. Did you provoke your supervisor? Why is he/she angry? Is your supervisor the type for forgive and forget? When will he/she retire? What do the higher ups think of him/her? Is it worth staying with your present employer?

Your supervisor could quit, you could quit or you could both be together a l-o-n-g time. I work for a few jerks but keep it professional at work. I am not friendly with them, but do enough to not burn myself. It depends on how much you can put up with.

Don't give him/her any ammo to use against you. Do your job and don't bad mouth him/her. Buy a dog, take up a sport or exercise to work off your stress.

Good luck.

There is no good answer here. You could quit, go over your supervisor's head and complain or just learn to live with it.

take the high route, hold your ground, and dont react to his anger with anger. Dont let him walk on you but don't let him make you angry and irrational. Just be civil and know that he's out of line and you're being the bigger person, which you really need to be in this case.
