Better yet, go to google and search for 'ccleaner' - a program called crap cleaner. It will delete more files than explorer will, and might pick off malware you might have accidently loaded.
Deleting files and putting them into the recycle bin is not the end of the story. If you are serious about wiping them, visit a security website like astalavista.com and their 'top 10 tools'. There are programs there that can completely wipe off files that may be harmful.

Hi, without knowing your operating system or browser here is how to do it for windows, assuming also your browser is IE just choose the tools menu then click internet options button then click the delete files button and you can also check the delete offline content check box if you like this will remove cached page data from your machine as well as the remaining temporary internet files safely.

Rt click IE icon choose property & opening window click delete files, delete cookies and clear history. You are done.
Another way, brows your "c" Drive click doument & settings than a folder you will see a folder by your name or computer's name click open it go to local settings folder here you will find folder with name Temp & Temporary Internet files. Delete it's content & close the browser You are done.

go to control panel, click on internet-network connections, then internet options. then u will c Temporary Internet Files, click on delete cookies and delete files. it is safe. u should actually do it every so often. After that ur computer should move a little quicker too.

oh ya. just go to your internet settings and delete the temporary internet files. it wont mess with your computer, in fact it might make it run better.
in my home, we do this every day to prevent any problems.

go to start... then search... for then files or folders... then...all files and folders...then type *.tmp and seach... remove all safely no problem.. you can also remove *.chk files.....defrag your system afterwards....
