reputation and word of mouth. once you have good luck with someone keep going back. that way you get to know them and they get to know you. better for you and your car in the long run.
it becomes a relationship in a way. after all your car is your second biggest investment next to your house .having trust in your repair facilty is very important. for your safety and piece of mind.but mostly for your wallet.with gas prices today ? thats pretty important.................E

Repair of a car is an art. Only reputed mechanics and company approved showrooms will have all tools, testing equpments, factory trained personnels etc. They will also have genuine spares. So stoppage in the middle of the journey can be avoided if you select leading garages instead of giving to amateurs who learn on your car on trial and error method

If there is no one who has lived in the area that I can ask about a trusted mechanic, I have found Google very helpful. Go to Google.com and type in "Auto Repair" and your city and state. If there are any reviews done on mechanics in your city, Google will list them. I have found it best to NEVER go to the dealership.

I fully recommend going to a dealership. any good dealer has in their employ trained techs who specialize in certain areas of repair, and they use genuine OEM parts. I guess I just trust the ones who specialize in specific brands, because they have seen the ins and outs of that specific brand. I work on my own, though. But if I did not, I would go to dealer.

by Referrals from satisied clients. that is the most suitable merchandising accessible. And, for the Goldsboro-Wayne County, North Carolina section, i might want to noticeably Reccomend vehicle-{Z}-Tech,Willie's Muffler and Radiator keep, Dean's Wheel Alignment , and Starter & Alternator change service.

I would also agree with word of mouth, and research online, if possible. The place I have been taking my truck I found through the Local section of Yahoo, and they had a great rating from customers.
