From the looks of all your posts I would say you have a car that is not been maintained for a long time. some of the things u should do is to make sure none of the moving parts have rusted solid... take the gas tank out and make sure there is no rust or water or foreign objects in it...check the wheels to make sure they are not rusted solid too and make sure to check the rims sometimes when a car sits in one place for a long time the rims get flat on one side.... check the body for rust and holes too. uhhh that's all i can think of at the moment ... oh wait check the wires and hoses that they have not dried out and gotten brittle.... you can check the engine if it is froze up by opening the hood and spinning the crankshaft manually to make sure the motor is not froze... ok I think i about covered it.... oh check the breaks
you don't wanna take it on a test drive and not be able to stop....

bless hope that helped

An owner should only do the maintenance that they feel comfortable with. If they are unsure of how to do the job correctly, then should take the car in and have it professionally done.
As to what maintenance should be performed, that info can be found in the owner's manual. On newer cars, oil changes are probably the most important. Checking the fluid levels and tire pressure should be done at least bi-weekly.
