when i leave my usb key in the usb port,the next time i boot up it wont go past the memory test,but when i take it out,everythings fine
why is this,i know you can boot from usb key but i have it set to floppy/ide/cd-rom
any answers will be appriceated

It may be that the c i trying to boot from the usb device.

Check your settings in the bios to see what order you have set for botting.

I'm not actually sure you can boot from a usb device but this will be worth looking at. make sure you Primary hard drive is set first in the list or second after the cd rom drive.

it does the same with my i-pod
it isnt a boot problem because the HDD isnt accessed before the bios freezes.

sorry bud no idea- the only thing i can think of is if the drive is holding some kind of boot data on there?
