micronesia definition
Micronesia, from the ancient Greek μικρος (small) and νησος (island), is the name of a region in the Pacific Ocean. The Philippines lie to the west, Indonesia to the south west, Papua New Guinea and Melanesia to the south, and Polynesia to the south-east and east.
Language
The native languages of the various Micronesian indigenous peoples are classified under the Austronesian language family. Almost all of these languages belong to the Oceanic subgroup of this family; however, three exceptions are noted in Western Micronesia, which belong to the Western Malayo-Polynesian subgroup:
* Chamorro and Tanapag in the Mariana Islands,
* Yapese and Outer Islands's language as Ulithian, Woleian and Satawalese in the Federated States of Micronesia, and
* Palauan in Palau.
This latter subgroup also includes most languages spoken today in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia (Kirch, 2000: pp. 166-167).
polynesia definition
Polynesia (from Greek: πολύς many, νῆσος island) is a large grouping of over 1,000 islands scattered over the central and southern Pacific Ocean.
polynesian triangle definition
The Polynesian Triangle is a region of the Pacific Ocean anchored by three island groups: Hawai'i, Easter Island (Rapa Nui) and New Zealand. The many island cultures within this vast triangle speak Polynesian languages which are classified by linguists as part of the Malayo-Polynesian subgroup and thus ultimately derive from the proto-Austronesian language spoken in Southeast Asia 5000 years ago. Polynesians also share similar cultural traditions, arts, religion, and sciences. Anthropologists believe that all modern Polynesian cultures descend from a single proto-culture established in the South Pacific by migrant Malayo-Polynesian people (see also Lapita).
The seven main Polynesian cultures are from:
* New Zealand (Aotearoa as a name for New Zealand is a post-colonial invention)
* Hawai'i
* Easter Island (Rapa Nui)
* Marquesas (Te Fenua ‘Enata / Te Henua Kenana)
* Samoa
* Tahiti
* Tonga

I'm polynesian but I was born here in Utah in the Dugway Proving Grounds (army base)
I don't know where exactly they originate and believe me I have asked my parents that same question while growing up but didn't get a definite answer. My parents are both half poly....my father is half tongan and half english while my mother was very very mixed, and all my father ever said was they were already on the island and didn't come from anywhere else.
In high school, a geography teacher once said that we originated from Mongolia....and that's all I know.
Wish I could be more help....Good Luck in your quest for the answer.

Some, but maybe it's time you focus on more realistic questions, like ask yourself about the future of foreign economies.

happy you asked, my mother is hawaiian & my dad is half aboriginal australian! The main reason for low divorce rates is because, from a early age our parents engrave in our heads culture & family is number one. Elders in the family are rarely put in nursing homes, so they share their wisdom with the younger generation.
