Indonesia may conduct safety checks on all Boeing Co's 737-300 planes operated by domestic airlines after an accident this week involving the same type of aircraft, its Transport Ministry said.
Indonesia may expand the inspection now underway on seven Adam Air Boeing 737-300 planes operated by PT Adam Skyconnection Airlines.
If Adam Air's six other planes show similar problems, the ministry plans to expand its inspection. Planes under scrutiny will reportedly have to be suspended. Boeing is providing technical support as required to help Adam Air Ensure the airworthiness of its fleet, a Boeing spokesman said.
