No, not everyone knows that.
I have never once read or had cited to me a court case where someone successfully avoided paying income taxes using that argument.
Please provide one if you can, I'd like to see it.

I personally didn't know that, and I will for sure read that work by Peter Kershaw... but like everyone else says, I wouldn't be the idiot to bring that up to an official. It would either be ignored, or if a person decides to make some sort of big deal with it and get a group together...
It all depends how far you want to go. I mean, there are no slaves now, women can vote now, equal rights among the races now....that all started somewhere.
Who's gonna step up?

Every citizen knows what the IRS will do if you don't participate in this "volunteerism"-up to and including relocating you to the nearest "Big House" in your area.
EDIT:
I witnessed a man of character, husband and father, get dragged through court for years before eventually landing in the slammer for 8 years. He had to pay the original taxes, plus fines. His family was bankrupted and took a deadly toll on their marraige. He had a really sharp lawyer too, along with many people who literally helped to support them in every way-finacially and otherwise. The IRS has more money & lawyers than we do . That is the sad reality check.

Oh yeah, go ahead and try to stiff the IRS and see how long you can hold the moral high ground. The blogbaba will send you a pie with a file in it when they tell us what prison they sent you to.

no I didn't know that. but I'm sure the court systems and the IRS really don't care about it being voluntary tax, its voluntary until you don't volunteer then its mandatory and personally i'm to pretty to survive in jail no matter how much I would like to stiff the IRS.

Your wrong. Taxes are involuntary. Hope springs eternal. Everybody wants to believe they don't have to pay taxes.
