Terrorism is defined by the US Department of Defense as "The calculated use of violence or the threat of violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological." If the the ideologues of Communism matched this definition, then it is terrorism.

No, Communists are a scare tactic neo-cons use to confuse the less intelligent portion of our public electorate. Politically Communists are a non-entity in the United States. If China didn't still hold to a Communist government, it would be a memory as a form of government. World wide, China is Communism on the planet, and as China goes, so goes Communism.
