I need to hear your side...

To be honest. As a Native woman. I can say that I wish colonization never happened. I do wish that Native people were allowed to live on this land without such a brutal interruption. This doesn't mean that I think they should have no contact with others or no intermarriages. Native people always had boats and were in contact with other peoples. But I don't think anyone can say they support what happened during colonization.

Do Native people have equal rights as the invaders? Not anymore. They should. And the government says all people are equal. But this isn't true. Native people are severly oppressed by the government. Native people face instiutional racism and everyday cultural ignorance. Even in the Supreme Court they still use racism to rule on Native claims.
