Rarely, I agree it is harder for a guy because if she is attractive then he is naturally going to struggle with not thinking of her in a romantic/sexual way, women have an easier time because they can get free meals and drinks for nothing by being your" buddy" lol...just joking ladies...

Why not. If a guy or girl had feelings for every friend who is of the other sex, that person would have a lot of sexual partners. You can be best friends with a girl if you are a guy and a girl can be best friends with a guy. Boy friends and girl friends are not the only people who can be friends. I have lots of friends who are close that are females. It is okay.

Yes. That's highly possible. The only problem with us human beings is that our actions and feelings are largely on habit. We grew up on a habit that a girl and a boy are opposites that attracts each other for sexual pleasure. That's why even in perfect platonic relationships, one of the parties would prefer to "set the record straight lest the other harbors wrong impressions". While it is also perfectly right for friends to later become lovers, it is our habitual thinking that makes others think that his/her friends of the opposite sex are brooding ground to choose future spouses.

Yes. You can also have love without the *** and the *** without the love. Sometimes things develop between people, but not always.

Yes, they can. It has happened to me. We do love and care for each other, but there will never be anything more between us. We don't want to risk ruining what we have, which we both think is very special.

Yeah, sure.

But I think to be able to do this, your best friend should have at least one thing about him/her that you find repulsive. Haha!
