Honestly, i haven't seen this guy play. All I have seen is the bat throwing tape. I hear all kinds of good things about his talent and bad things about his attitude. Will someone with knowledge of Young give me a prediction on what you think his numbers will look like next year and/ or a comparison to another player?

He is ready and will get every chance on the Rays to be their main guy. He will probably bat in the 3 or 4 spot, so I predict a nice year In the minors, he could hit for power, steal bases, and hit for average. Here's my stats prediction: .310-.315 avg, 25-30 hrs, 100 rbi, 90 runs, and an obp of around .375, throw in about 20 steals too. I think he will steadily improve in the years to come as well.
I think he will end up being compared to the likes of Vlad Guerrero in a few years, which is quite a compliment.

Delmon young lists his baseball heroes as Manny Ramirez, A- Rod, and Larry Walker. Will he compete with these guys? Not this year (Walker is now retired- he is the hitting coach in St Louis). He will play this season in the bigs and will be the rookie of the year. I saw him play in high school when I lived in Camarillo, Ca. He was a stud then, and still is. His attitude problem has seemed to curb itself after the "bat toss" incident.
his #'s this year will probably be around .315 25hr 90rbi and 35sb. I look for him to lead the league in outfield assists. Teams will test his young arm. However I do not see him with a gold glove.

I saw him play in some late season games against the Yankees. The guy can flat-out hit, both for average and power. It also looks like he runs well. He also has a rocket arm in the outfield. I see him being very similar to Vernon Wells, but maybe with even more offense. I think he's capable of putting up Gary Sheffield-numbers too. I love to see young talented players come up even if they are not on my favorite team, but I hope Young does well. He needs to control his temper though. I can definitely see him hitting .280 next year with 25 home runs at the very least, and maybe more. Once he gets experience he's going to be scary.

He's a pretty good player he is good at batting and fielding. I think he will have about 30 HRS and 100 RBI and 2 SB.
