So my baby is here and before having her I heard many things about different bottles, and so I bought one of each brand the Dr Brown's Avent, and First Years Soothie bottles and the Gerbers I also have the playtex drop ins but havnt used it yet, So far my baby likes the Dr Browns Avents and The Soothie ones, and becasue the only pacifier she will take is the Soothie I figurered she would like the bottles, but those ones for some reason push up against her nose and it doesnt bother her or me, and the avents are good too, but the Dr browns give her less air, but are so fustrating to clean... so out of those 3 im having a hard time deciding which ones to buy, I like them all and so does my daughter but i am leaning towards more of the Dr Brown ones and my husband is leaning towards the Soothie and friends have told me avent is great... now I would just like others opinions and maybe other brands... My baby is ver gassy and takes in alot of air....

I've used Playtex DropIns.. You can push all the air out of them.. and the baby can drink them sitting up without having to hold the bottle in the air. Plus, u have a fresh sanitized bottle liner every feeding. They are only 12 dollars for 3. Thats all I use. I have tried all of the bottles... dr. browns- are you crazy, you have to put aside a whole hour of your day just to get those pieces clean.. shoot mein the headhere.. and the Avent.. those for some reason always clean well, even when you leave it for dayz and the milk becomes a solid. lol.. But for Gas, I recommend the Playtex Drop ins.

We're tried just about as many brands as you and our baby seems to like the Soothie nipples the best. The Playtex Ventaire comes a distant second. Our son liked the Soothie bottle we bought so much that we we even bought the standard-size replacement nipples to use on all of our other standard-sized bottles. He's just more familiar with the feel of the Soothie nipple (thanks to the pacifier he got from the hospital).

A lot of bottles will say that their bottle allows less air bubbles than others. In my experience, no matter what bottle you use, unless the breastmilk/formula is in one of those drop-in bags, bubbles will still get into the baby's tummy. It is the composition of what you're feeding that plays a bigger role in gassy babies than the bottle you're feeding with. Even breast milk can give a baby gas if you've nursed/pumped after having a spicy meal or lots of fruit juice.

The best bottles I've found are "Playtex Vent Aire" They are the right size and they vent from the bottom. We have the Avent bottles to but they are so big and it seemed that they always leaked after a short time. Congrats on your new baby.

Give her the one she seems to like best. Personally I used Avent quite a bit but if you use them for too long they start to leak (at least mine did) so those might not be the best option. For me Playtex was easiest to clean because I had the ones where both the tops and the bottoms twisted off. As for the air, it probably wont be much of a problem as long as you make sure you get some burps out of her after she feeds.

I use the Playtex vent air. They have a silacone disc in the bottom with tiny holes that prevent air from getting into the bottle. I love them and my son has never had gas problems.

Playtex bottles & drop-ins rule! They can be expensive, but the time savings are worth it! You will see as your baby gets older and you find yourself trying to assemble a bottle while you're going 70 mph on the highway.

If you can't afford them for everyday, consider them when traveling, as they'll save you the risk of moldy bottles that will risk your baby to infection.

Well i did the breast milk as long as i could, unfortuanely i dried up after six weeks. The best bottle that i have found for my daughter to use is the platex drop ins. you can buy these little drop ins and they cause the baby to have less gas. There is some that are tilted to, they say they cause less gas. However I have both and her tummy gets less upset when i use the platex drop ins. Much easier on her tummy.

Since you asked... If breastfeeding is an option, breast is the best nipple and bottle ever! You won't have to deal with any of this stuff! Less gas, less fuss, and best thing ever for your baby and you.
